Comprehensive Health History

The first step in the examination process usually begins in the comfort of your home as you complete the new patient forms which can be downloaded from the New Patient Center portion of our web site.  It is crucial that the information on these new patient forms be as complete as possible as they give Dr. David Sanders insight in determining where your problem is and some possible treatments.

 Consultation 

Next, Dr. David Sanders will meet with you in a private consultation to discuss your health-related problems and concerns. (There is not a charge for the consultation to see if Dr. Sanders can help you.)  During the consultation, he will review your new patient forms, ask additional questions that relate to your case, answer your questions, and determine the best course of examination and treatment for you.

Examination

The examination looks at many aspects of how your brain and nervous system are functioning. Some of the exam tools we might utilize include pulse oximetry, blind spot testing, neurological and orthopedic testing, computerized balance testing, video nystagmography,  range of motion studies, functional foot analysis, and x-ray evaluation.

 X-Ray Studies

Depending on your specific condition, we may take x-rays as well. X-rays help us develop  the most effective treatment plan for you, and alert us of  any serious spinal conditions. Most people are amazed once they see their X-rays up close. In some cases, they can even identify their misalignments and degeneration themselves.

Report of Findings

After reviewing your health history and examination findings, Dr. David Sanders will give you a detailed report of all findings and answer any questions including:

1. What is the problem?
   
2. What are the treatment options?
3. How long will it take to correct?
4. How often do I need to come in?
5. How much will my treatment cost?

Treatment

After the Report of Findings, you can choose to  experience your first treatment. Treatment is custom tailored for each patient based on their specific areas of neurological dysfunction.

Some of the various treatments that Dr. David Sanders uses include:  chiropractic adjustments of the spine and extremities, instrument adjusting with the Arthrostim and Percussor,  warm or cool air irrigation to the inner ear, visual stimulation, auditory stimulation, olfactory stimulation, cognitive exercises, Interactive Metronome training, balance training, eye tracking exercises, and cold laser.
